#SAStartUpStory Movement
Terms and Conditions
Company Partners (Pty) Ltd (hereafter CP) is running a “Movement” where people can submit a description of their business Start Up Story in South Africa with goal of uplifting the entrepreneurial community in South Africa. Stories will be selected by CP which best meet these requirements and make contact with the entrepreneurs to request additional information which includes but is not limited to a video recording, photos, documentation, data messages or information. The aforesaid may then be shared on the CP Website(s), affiliate websites, third-party websites, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X pages.
The purpose of the Movement is to provide fellow and future entrepreneurs with tales of inspiration.
CP does not provide any guarantee, express or implied, that the Start-Up Stories submitted will be utilised in any direct or indirect manner.
The promoter of the Movement is Company Partners (Pty) Ltd (Registration number: 2015/082857/07), whose registered office is Office 102 III Edward 70 Edward Street Bo-Oakdale Bellville 7530.
WHO MAY ENTER THE MOVEMENT
The Movement is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document who have started their own business/company in South Africa (hereafter the Party).
Furthermore, the Party who submits his/her Story confirms that he/she has the appropriate capacity and rights to share the Story and applicable, data messages, documentation, information and/or media with CP. Further, an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and publicly display the content, in whole or in part, for any marketing or promotional purposes, in any media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice or compensation to the Party.
WHO MAY NOT ENTER THE MOVEMENT
Participation in this Movement is strictly prohibited for any individual, company, or business entity that engages in the trade of illicit substances or performs any activities deemed illegal under applicable laws and regulations in South Africa. Any participant found to be in violation of this clause will be immediately disqualified from the Movement, and any will be revoked.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY
Go to our web page (https://companypartners.co.za/sa-start-up-story/), complete the four (4) questions and press submit after you have read the terms and conditions of the Movement;
Submissions will be reviewed by CP;
Submissions selected by the CP will be contacted via phone/email for additional information and/or resources (e.g. video, photos).
PUBPLICATION
CP reserves the right to select and publish Start-Up Stories as part of its initiative to provide free business exposure for Start Up Stories nominated by CP. Selected Parties may have their business stories featured and marketed through CP’s platforms granting them free business exposure to CP clientele which may create business opportunities.
The Parties personal information such as Full names, surname, contact details and Company Details may be shared in the publication for the purpose of providing free business exposure.
Further, CP reserves the right to make any minor edits to any submissions for Marketing purposes.
This includes, but is not limited to, CP’s official websites, affiliate and third-party websites, as well as CP’s social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
By participating, nominees acknowledge that the selection and publication of their business stories are solely at CP’s discretion and form part of CP’s promotional activities.
Furthermore, no financial incentives or payments in kind will be offered.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION
The Party hereby confirms that they are the rightful owner of the intellectual property and have the full legal right, authority, and capacity to share the applicable information.
CP will not be responsible for any costs or expenses which you, or your partner (if applicable), incur during and for purposes of your submission
The Party must possess whatever documents and permissions that may be required in order to publish their Story, which documents and permissions is your responsibility to obtain at your own cost, and which documents and permissions must remain valid in such minimum form and for such minimum period as may be required by the relevant authorities.
SEPTEMBER 2025 COMPETITION
As part of the #SAStartUpStory Movement, Company Partners (Pty) Ltd (“CP”) is running a September 2025 Competition.
Competition Timeline:

Judging: 02 October 2025
Winner Announced: 03 October 2025
Prize Details:
One winner will receive a Business Growth Package valued at R20,000, consisting of the following:

Prize Conditions:
The prize is valid for 6 months from the winner announcement date (i.e. until 3 April 2026).
No cash or service substitutions will be offered.
Only the services listed above are included.
No service “swop-outs” or alternatives will be offered.
The prize is not transferable.
Winner Selection:
All valid entries received during the campaign period will be reviewed by a panel consisting of Company Partners’ Directors and Shareholders.
The panel will select the winner based on the entrepreneurial story that best demonstrates:
- Resilience
- Innovation
- Growth potential
The panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
By submitting an entry, entrants confirm that they understand and agree to all terms outlined in this section and the full #SAStartUpStory Movement Terms and Conditions.
GENERAL
Your submission into the Movement constitutes your binding acceptance of the terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and your business including any person with whom you may share the business (“your partner”).
All publications will be of a positive, inspirational and uplifting nature and will not create a negative perception of the Party.
We and our affiliates are not responsible for any entries which are not received by us, whether timeously or at all, regardless of the cause thereof. Without limitation, we and our affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failure or malfunction, traffic congestion (whether physical, or on the Internet, telephone lines or at any service provider, web site or other device or medium), or any combination thereof, or any other technical or other problems.
CP and our affiliates are not responsible for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer, mobile telephone or other device used by you to enter into, or obtain any materials related to, the Movement.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any information which you provide to CP is accurate, complete and up to date. Should any of the data provided by yourself in connection with this Movement prove to be invalid, inaccurate, and false or misleading, your submission shall be removed from all digital channels / platforms as listed above.
CP does not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to the publication, and in particular, but without limitation, make no representations and give no warranty that –
your submission or participation in the Movement will necessarily result in your Story being published;
The publication, or any aspect thereof, will meet your, or, if applicable, your partner’s, requirements, preferences, standards or expectations; or
The publication, or any aspect thereof, will be satisfactory, punctual, free from defects, safe or reliable.
CP and our affiliates will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss or claim relating to the provision of any element of a publication or any changes to a publication that may be made at any time.
Submissions are not transferable and may not be deferred, changed or exchanged for cash or any other item.
CP may invite you participate in any of our marketing activities, to appear in person in the electronic media and/or the print media, and/or to endorse, promote or advertise any of our goods or services, for which no fee, royalty or other compensation will be payable. You may decline such an invitation.
CP and our third party suppliers, as the case may be, reserve the right to vary, postpone, suspend, or cancel the Movement and any submission, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which we deem necessary. In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension or cancellation, you agree to waive any rights, interests and expectations that you may have in terms of this Movement and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against us, our affiliates and third party suppliers.
You agree that your participation in the Movement, and your submission, or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
CP and our affiliates will not be responsible, and disclaim all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by your participation in the Movement or by any action taken by us or any of our affiliates in accordance with the terms and conditions.
You, and in the event of your death, your family, dependants, heirs, assignees or any other beneficiaries of your estate, indemnify and hold us and our affiliates harmless against any claim by you, or your partner (if applicable), (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, relating to any injury, loss, liability, expense and/or damage which you may suffer, howsoever arising, in relation to your entry into this Movement.
You acknowledge that the submission is subject to the provision that:
all of the terms and conditions will apply to both you and your partner (if applicable), and you will ensure that your partner agrees to be bound and complies, and will continue to comply, therewith;
you will take full responsibility for your partner;
you indemnify and hold us and our affiliates harmless against any claim by your partner or any third party in the event that your partner suffers any loss or damage pursuant to your partner’s acceptance;
By entering this Movement, the Parties agree to receive marketing and/or promotional material from CP and/or any of their associated or affiliated companies. No Party of this Movement is in any way obliged to enter into a contract with CP and/or a contract with any of their associated or affiliated companies.
For purposes hereof, “affiliate” means CPs’ partners, co promoters and sponsors of this Movement, our subsidiaries, our and their subsidiaries and respective holding companies, the subsidiaries of their holding companies, and our and their directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives.
These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa
CP decision on any matter concerning the Movement and/or arising out of these terms and conditions is final and binding on you, and no correspondence will be entered into.
